Turning accepted lines into purchase orders
Written By Timothy Murenzi
Once you've accepted the lines you want, Workroom can turn them straight into draft purchase orders — one per vendor, priced at the accepted quote.
Create the purchase orders
Open the quote. In the header, click Create PO from accepted (N). N is the number of accepted lines that aren't on a PO yet.
A Create purchase orders window explains what will happen: draft POs (one per vendor) from the accepted lines, priced at the accepted quote.
Type Create POs in the box to confirm, then click Create POs.
When it's done, every converted line shows a PO tag with the PO number (e.g. PO PO00158), and the button disappears until you accept more lines.

Good to know
One PO per vendor. A quote with two vendors creates two POs.
No duplicates. Running it again only picks up lines accepted since last time.
The POs are drafts. Open them from the product's On PO column or your purchase orders list to review, add shipping and tax details, and send them to the vendor.
Vendor matching. The PO's vendor is matched by the vendor name on the quote. If no matching vendor record exists, Workroom creates a basic one so the PO has somewhere to go — fill in its details later under Contacts.
