FAQ for Signers
Written By Timothy Murenzi
This page is written for the people who receive a contract from a Workroom studio. Feel free to send it to your clients.
What is this?
Your designer uses Workroom to run their business. They've sent you a contract to sign online. You don't need a Workroom account or any downloads. The link in your email opens the contract in your browser on a computer, tablet or phone.
Is the link safe?
Yes. Each signer gets their own personal link, over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Don't forward it — it's meant for you.
How do I sign?
Open the email and click the button to review and sign.
Read the contract.
Fill in the fields highlighted for you, such as your name, date or initials.
Click the signature field and draw or type your signature.
Finish signing. Your designer is told straight away.
It says I have to wait for someone else
Your designer chose to have people sign in a set order. You'll get an email as soon as it's your turn.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes. You can draw your signature with your finger or type it.
There's a payment link. What is it?
Your designer has asked for a retainer (deposit) with the contract. Follow the Pay Now link to pay the invoice securely by card. The payment is credited to your account with the designer.
I don't want to sign
Use the decline option on the signing page, or simply contact your designer to talk about changes.
I made a mistake when signing
Contact your designer. They can clear your signature so you can sign again.
Where is my signed copy?
Once everyone has signed, ask your designer for the signed PDF if you haven't received one.
Common problems
"Expired or invalid link" — your designer may have sent you a newer link, changed your email or replaced the contract. Check your inbox for a newer email, or ask them to resend it.
The signature pad won't draw — tap inside the box once first, or type your signature instead.
The page won't load — try another browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox), turn off ad blockers, or try without a VPN.
I didn't get the email — check spam, then ask your designer to confirm your email address and resend.
