How to invoice your time entries
How to add tracked time entries to an invoice and send them to your client.
Written By Julia M.
Overview
Bill tracked time on an invoice from the Library's Timelogs tab — or bill it rolled up by project phase from the Phases tab.
Before you start
The time must be logged against the project.
Time can be added to invoices, not estimates.
Steps
Go to Finances → Invoices and click Create Invoice (or open an existing draft).
Choose the client and project under Customer Information.
In a section, click From Library and open the Timelogs tab ("Tracked hours ready to bill").
Narrow the list: search by title, memo or task; filter by project, member and billable; set the date range; change the sort.
Tick entries (or Select all). Each date group shows its total hours and billable %.
Click Add timelogs.

Bill by phase instead
The Phases tab bills time aggregated by project phase — one line per phase. Pick a project on the invoice first; phases load per project.
After adding
Edit line titles and descriptions to read well for the client.
Use sections (for example "Design phase", "Site visits") to organise the bill.
Check the PDF and Client View settings before sending.
Avoiding double billing
Hide already-invoiced items is on by default in the Library panel. After invoicing, you can also set entries' status to Billed on the Timelogs page.
Important limitations
Time entries already on an invoice may still show the status Open on the Timelogs page — update the status if your team relies on it.
