Tags are coloured labels that help you group records — for example by client type, project stage or trade.

Create a tag

  1. Go to Contacts and click Manage Tags (top right).

  2. The panel lists your tags with a count. Click + New tag.

  3. Enter a name, choose a colour, and save.

Use the pencil icon to rename or recolour a tag, or the bin to delete it.

Apply tags

  • When creating a record — pick from the Tags field in the Add Contact or Add Vendor form. Each tag keeps its colour.

  • From a profile — open the contact and click + on the Tags card.

A record can have several tags. They show in the Tags column of the list.

Ideas

  • Client type — Residential, Commercial, Hospitality

  • Stage — Prospect, Active, Past client

  • Trade — Plumber, Electrician, General contractor

  • Vendor category — Lighting, Upholstery, Rugs

Important limitations

  • Editing a tag updates it everywhere it's used. Deleting a tag removes it from every record that has it.

  • Contact tags are separate from document tags on estimates, invoices and POs (Settings → Studio → Money → Reusable pieces).
