Your own settings

Profile, notifications, hours and time away, connected accounts and shortcuts.

Written By Julia M.

The You side of Settings is just for you: your profile, what you are told about, your working hours and time away, your own email and calendar, and your keyboard shortcuts. Nobody else's account changes when you change these.

Watch it: the Settings lesson in Campus, step 2, “Your own settings” (2:13). Each section below names its chapter.

Your name, initials, photo and avatar color show wherever your name appears in Workroom.

Your contact details are the same as your card in Contacts, so a change here changes it there too. Open my contact card takes you straight to it.

Below that you can change your password, and your timezone if you work somewhere other than the studio. Your role and rate are set by an admin, so they are shown here but you cannot change them.

Notifications

Notifications decides what reaches you and where:

  • the bell

  • a small pop-up while you work

  • email

Every event has a switch for each of those, grouped by kind, so you can keep the bell busy and your inbox quiet.

Hours and time away

Set when you work. Leave it on the studio's hours, or set your own day by day. Teammates see your hours before they message you, and your notifications stay quiet outside them.

Going away? Turn on Out of office, add your dates, and choose who gets your urgent client messages. Your emails and Comms messages reply for you, using the studio's away reply or one of your own, and Away shows on your picture.

Connected accounts

Settings › You › Connected accounts

Link your own Google or Microsoft account, so your inbox shows in Email and your meetings sync with your calendar.

Pick which calendar Workroom writes its meetings to and which of yours show in Workroom. Switch or disconnect any time. Nobody else can see this account.

Keyboard shortcuts

Click any key combination to change it. Reset to defaults brings them all back.
