Navigating the web clipper

Overview

A tour of the Workroom clipper panel, top to bottom.

Toolbar

Minimise the clipper, switch which side of the page it sits on, or close it.

Images

Up to five images; the largest is the main image. Use the screenshot tool to capture an image from the page without clipping, and the bin icon to remove one.

Product information

• Category and Location code — where it sorts in the Library.

• Product name and client-facing name.

• URL — filled in automatically.

• Vendor — pick one or create a new vendor.

Cost details

Quantity, unit type, MSRP, unit cost, markup ($ or %) or margin %, and a discount (applied to unit cost).

Product details

Auto-fill the description, add a vendor description, product details and an internal note.

Project and sub-item

Attach the product to a project, and to a parent product if it's a sub-item.

Clip a PDF

Right-click a PDF link on the vendor page and choose Attach PDF to Workroom product. It's saved to the product's attachments.

Clip text into a field

Highlight text on the page; a menu lets you choose which field to send it to.

Important limitations

• We couldn't test the extension during this review. Menu wording may differ slightly from what's shown here.
