Using Resources and References

Learn how to centralize project references, mood boards, and external resources inside projects.

Written By Timothy Murenzi

Overview

Resources & References (Overview section 09) keeps the links the team needs in one place: photos, mood boards, file folders, vendor portals and tools.

Add a resource

  1. Open the project → Overview → Resources.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Add a link with a clear name, e.g. "Site photos — Google Drive" or "Concept board — Pinterest".

  4. Save.

What to store

  • Mood boards and Pinterest boards

  • Shared drive folders

  • Vendor trade portals

  • Installation documents and manuals

  • Public timeline links you've shared with the client

Best practices

  • Name links so anyone can tell what's behind them.

  • Remove dead links and avoid duplicates.

  • Put files themselves in the project's Documents tab, and use Resources for links.
