Dashboard widgets

What Needs attention and every other dashboard widget shows, and how project tiles work.

Add any of these from Customize Dashboard. What you see in each one follows your permissions. Anything you are not allowed to see is not there.

Watch it: the Dashboard lesson in Campus: twelve chapters, about 6 minutes. Each section below names its chapter.

Needs attention

Watch it: chapter 5, “Needs attention” (starts at 1:48).

Needs attention, most urgent first

Needs attention is everything waiting on you, most urgent first. Red is kept for the things that cannot wait: late money and blocked work.

  • Yours is what is yours to do. Whole studio shows everything, grouped so it is quick to scan.

  • Open shows the record.

  • Snooze hides a row until tomorrow, Monday or next week. It comes back sooner if something new happens.

Admins decide how many days pass before something shows up here: see Default dashboards for each role.

Every other widget

Watch it: chapter 6, “Every other widget” (starts at 2:13).

Customize Dashboard, showing the Team & Time widget
  • Money: what is owed to you and what you owe, as figures, by age or by project.

  • Procurement pipeline: everything on order, by where it is on the way to the client.

  • Team & Time: who is busy, who has room, and anyone who missed a timesheet.

  • Leads: open leads, the ones that have stalled, and your forecast.

  • Comms: unread conversations by project, and what you are waiting on others for.

  • My tasks: your list from Tasks, or your week. Tick tasks off right on the dashboard.

  • Calendar: meetings, site visits, tasks due and milestones, as an agenda, a week or a month. You can add more than one.

  • Email: unread mail by lane, and the replies you are waiting on.

  • For you: a small stack that turns by itself: the places you go most and what you were working on.

The Walter brief, Projects, Quick actions and Today are in Your dashboard: start here.

Project tiles

Watch it: chapter 8, “Project tiles” (starts at 3:15).

A project tile two columns wide, with the project card beside its tasks

A project tile keeps one project on your dashboard. In Customize, pick Project tile, choose the project, and add it.

  • It opens on the project's cover: its photo, or its color, with its name. Click the cover to open the project.

  • The arrows and dots step through its views: the client and address, Walter's insights, tasks, what to know, finances and what is coming up.

  • At two columns wide, it shows a project card beside the views.

  • Tiles hold still unless you want them to turn. Switch that on in the tile's menu, under Views and turning.
