Troubleshooting

Nothing appears on the calendar at all

Calendar is an opt-in app. Check Settings → Apps and make sure Calendar is switched on for the studio.

A whole layer is missing

Permissions, not preferences. Deliveries / Order-by / Procurement admin require procurement access; Money requires finance access. Check the permission set, not the calendar.

My Google/Outlook events aren't showing

Work down this list:

  1. Is the account connected? Settings → Mailbox.

  2. Does the panel say "Reconnect to add the calendar"? Your grant predates calendar access. Reconnect.

  3. Is calendar sync enabled and a write calendar chosen?

  4. Is the calendar ticked under "Show these calendars on the Workroom calendar"?

  5. Is it ticked in the left rail on the calendar page? Unticking there hides it.

  6. Are the events inside the window? 30 days back, 180 forward.

  7. Press Sync now and check for a Last sync error message underneath.

A meeting I created didn't reach Google/Outlook

  1. Is it actually a meeting? Only meeting-type events are pushed.

  2. Are you the creator or an assignee? The push sends meetings that are yours to see.

  3. Is the date inside the window? If it's older than 30 days, use Send earlier meetings.

  4. Was it pulled in from a calendar originally? Pulled events are never pushed back — that's the loop guard.

  5. Give it a minute, then press Sync now.

Duplicate events on the calendar

This was a real bug, with three separate causes, and all three are fixed. There is also a housekeeping pass that runs every ten minutes and retires duplicates it finds.

If you still see doubles: check whether the same underlying calendar is ticked twice in the rail (e.g. a shared calendar you also subscribe to personally), and untick one.

An event shows at the wrong time

Almost always the studio timezone. Settings → Company. With it unset, Workroom assumes US Eastern for calendar writes and reminders — consistently, but wrong if you're not there.

If it's specifically an all-day event that looks a day long or a day off, note that Google treats all-day end dates as exclusive; Workroom handles that conversion, so report it if you see it.

I can't edit an event

Events pulled in from Google or Outlook are read-only in Workroom by design. Edit it in the calendar that owns it; the change arrives here within a minute.

A guest didn't get an invitation

  • Team members are not sent external calendar invitations — the meeting is already on their Workroom calendar.

  • A contact needs an email address on file. No address, no guest.

  • Typed text only becomes a guest if it's a valid email address. "Sarah's architect" is a note, not an invitation.

  • The invitation comes from your calendar, so it only goes out once the meeting has synced.

Unticking a calendar removed it from my connection

It doesn't any more. Unticking in the rail is a filter — it hides that calendar's events and leaves the connection completely alone. (An earlier version did tear down the connection on a rename or a single-field save. Fixed.)

The calendar page is blank / shows an error

There was a crash of this kind (Cannot access 'le' before initialization) which is fixed. If you hit a blank page, hard-refresh first (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R) — a stale bundle is the usual cause after a deploy — and report it with the exact error text if it persists.

Order-by dates look wrong

Check, in order: the product's install date, the product's vendor lead time, and the receiving buffer (studio default, or that project's override). The order-by date is those three and nothing else.
